Jack Ross, President
Jack Ross is a resident of Sedona having moved from Stonington CT with his wife Camilla in the spring of 2015. Together they have 3 children, Joseph, Mike, and Jessica. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and armed with a BA in accounting, Jack promptly enlisted in the Navy in 1977 via the Aviation Officer Candidate program. Following his commission, he earned his ‘Wings of Gold” as a carrier pilot and completed 20 years of active and reserve service before retiring as a Commander in 1998. Jack completed 29 years as a pilot for Delta Air Lines and in 2019 retired as an 767ER International Captain based out of Delta’s Los Angeles HUB. From 2022-2024 Jack worked with the Sedona Police as a Community Service Aide and continues today as treasurer of the Non-Profits Emerson Theater Collaborative and the Arts Academy of Sedona.

John Martinez, Vice President
John and his wife Carol have lived in Sedona since 2005. Both were born and raised in Southern California. John comes from a family of ten, Mom and Dad, plus two brothers and five sisters. With this many in the family John had to learn early what the value of a dollar is. Neither of his parents graduated high school, but “they taught us early what the value of a college degree means”. All eight kids possess college degrees. “You may have seen me driving around in my Red Dodge Pickup truck with the license plate CSULB 75, which means California State University Long Beach, graduating in 1975”. John’s work history is primarily in private business starting as a janitor for Snappy Taco, advancing to his last position in California as Director of Manufacturing Accounting for Conagra Grocery Group with five billion in sales, a division of ConAgra Food with sales of twenty-five billion.
John began his association with the City of Sedona as a member of the Budget Oversight Commission under the direction of previous mayor Rob Adams. John was able to leverage his financial background to the city budgets that were presented annually to the group. This group made a number of recommendations that “I believe placed the city in a stronger financial position coming out of the Great Recession”.
John served on Sedona City Council from 2012 to 2020. The last six years as Vice Mayor and is proud to be involved in several local Non-Profit organizations, which are Sedona Symphony, Sedona Public Library, SAVCO (Sedona Area Veterans Community Outreach (Flags on 89A), and a Founding Member of the Coalition Against Human Trafficking.

Sara McAtee, Secretary
Sara joined the United States Marine right out of school. She was a Combat Engineer. After her service Sara received her Elementary Education degree from Emporia State University along with her Master’s. She taught 3rd grade for 10 years before taking a step back. Sara is married to her husband Jason for 21 years and has two children. Her son Nic is a senior at Sedona Red Rock High and her daughter Cali is in 5th grade currently homeschooled. Sara and her husband own a business in St. Thomas, VI.

Al Coxe, Treasurer
Al Coxe Is a native of Colorado. He and his wife Rosie moved to Sedona in 2018 and have two adult daughters. Al spent 20 years in the Air Force in the Missile and Space career fields and his post military time developing and modernizing the tracking and data collection systems for space launch sites at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg AFB. In his spare time Al was a runner, completing four marathons, the Pikes Peak Ascent seven times, and two triathlons. He then transitioned to mountaineering, notching 90+ ascents over 14,000 feet, and scaled 22,841 foot Mt. Aconcagua, the highest mountain outside of the Himalayas. After moving to Sedona, he joined the Sedona Marine Corp League and SAVCO. He finds projects that help veterans very fulfilling.

Don Hallford, Director
Don Hallford was raised in Northwest Florida. He enlisted in the Air Force soon after completing High School. During his first enlistment he finished his degree and received a commission. He continued to serve as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer for another 22 years. He was assigned to Florida, Texas, Washington, Utah and England. As he became more successful in his career, he learned about “giving back to the community”. He started out doing volunteer tax returns while still in the Air Force. He has continued doing taxes and enjoying the appreciation he received from his clients. After retiring and moving to Sedona, he’s expanded his opportunities to “give back” through various organizations in the local area.
