Higher Education Scholarships

SAVCO is proud to offer two different education scholarships to seniors graduating from Sedona Red Rock High School; a Three Year Academic Scholarship and a Trade/Vocational Scholarship.

SAVCO ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

The Sedona Area Veteran & Community Outreach Academic Scholarship is available to graduating Seniors from Sedona Red Rock High School.  This $2,000 scholarship will be awarded at the completion of the student’s first year and is renewable for two additional years. (Sophomore through Senior years). Transcripts must show that the awardee maintained academic achievement for the previous year before monies are awarded.

All recipients must attend an accredited Institution of Higher Education within the State of Arizona, and take a minimum of 12 semester hours of coursework each semester. It is the recipient’s responsibility to provide transcripts of completion of coursework each year. The Scholarship funds are sent directly to the Institution of Higher Education. 

TRADE/VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Sedona Area Veteran & Community Outreach Trade/Vocational Scholarship is available to graduating Seniors from Sedona Red Rock High School. In extreme cases, a diploma may not be required. If you feel you are very competitive in the other application requirements, then we encourage you to apply. This scholarship is variable in amount, not to exceed $1,500. It is intended to pay for training, equipment or supplies leading to or needed for a trade/professional school/job. This list is not exclusive, but some examples are welding,electrical, plumbing, firefighting, police, massage therapy, dental assisting, truck driver (CDL),etc. If you are seeking training/education leading to a certification/job, and meet the criteriabelow, you will be considered for the scholarship.

Criteria: Recipient must attend an Arizona Institution of Higher Education or an accredited institution providing skills, training/certification in a field leading to potential career employment. Preference may be given to a student who has participated in school activities and/or performed some community service.
