Save the Date for SAVCO’s 16th Annual Charity Golf Event. The event is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. Both men and women are encouraged to participate. “If you don’t have a four-person team, we’ll connect you with one,” says coordinator Gordie Garvey. “This is a fun, light-hearted event with new and fun ways to test your skills, donate to a good cause and have fun at the same time.”
This year’s event will be held at the beautiful Oak Creek Country Club on the morning of September 23th, 2023. Registration and starting hole assignments will be open at 7:00 am. Coffee, breakfast and Bloody Marys will be available for purchase.
Attendees will also have time to check out and bid on numerous silent auction items displayed in front of the clubhouse and buy 50/50 raffle tickets (half to the winner, half to charity). If you need a little extra help on the course, mulligans will be available for purchase. Golfer “goodie bags” will be provided and there will be a buffet lunch served in the banquet room when play is finished. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and LAST place winners and they will receive gift certificates to the Club’s golf shop. Men’s and ladies prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin and for drives closest to the centerline on specific holes. Valuable merchandise prizes will be awarded on all par 3’s for a hole in one, with a $10,000 prize for an ace on hole #7!
All proceeds go to fund Direct Veteran Assistance, our Higher Education Scholarship, Toys for Tots, and other major SAVCO projects.
