Farewell Ray Stueve & Theresa Corbett

Ray & Theresa.jpeg

Ray Stueve and Theresa Corbett, Sedona Marine Corps League members, will be moving to Florida soon. SAVCO held a Going Away Party on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Sedona Elks Club.  The Lodge was filled with well wishers who enjoyed a spaghetti dinner and danced to music provided by the Happy Days Band.

Ray was one of the original members of the Marine Corps League Detachment and was instrumental in its formation. He was the first coordinator for Sedona Toys for Tots, spearheaded the 89 Flags on 89A Project and helped organize the Sedona Military Park. Ray and Theresa both have been very active members of the Marine Corps League and will be greatly missed.

Gordie Garvey of the Sedona Marine Corps League Detachment presented Ray with a statue of the flag raising on Iwo Jima and presented a cross necklace with the word Marine etched on it to Theresa. Karen Barrow, representing the Red Rock Quilters, then awarded Ray with a Quilt of Valor in hopes that it will bring him comfort and fond memories of all his friends in Sedona. Semper Fi Ray and Theresa!
