Sedona Toys for Tots Bike Distribution

“There is nothing quite as exciting as getting your first bicycle,” says SAVCO Toys for Tots co-coordinator Karen Barrow.

Sedona Toys for Tots presents bicycles to Sedona children ages 4 - 10 years who qualify.  Coconino Safe Kids fits each child with a helmet and asks them to promise to wear them.

Bike distribution is held at West Sedona School and volunteers have a great time assembling and organizing the bikes in the morning. Then, by appointment, families come in the afternoon and children are fitted to the proper bike and helmet.

Sedona Toys for Tots is arranging to have a safety course on hand so the children can practice safe riding skills.

Toys for Tots accepts only new bikes. If you are interested in donating money for bike purchases, visit our page on the national Toys for Tots website here. If you are interested in donating a new bike instead, contact Barrow directly. “We try to choose children early so we know what we need. If folks have interest in donating bikes, it helps to reach out so I can provide information on style and sizes needed.”
