SAVCO Scholarship Update

Luz Maria Hernandez Chaparro is the 2023 SAVCO Scholarship winner.  She will receive $2,000 per year from her Sophomore through Senior years and will attend Arizona State University majoring in Physics. She may minor in communications as she is an English Language Learner.

Hannah Lanchbury 2022 SAVCO Scholarship

Hannah is a Rising Sophomore at Grand Canyon University.  Here are a few quotes from a letter Hannah sent us March 2023.  “My year is almost to a close here at GCU, but it has been nothing less of an adventure!  College is certainly hard to step into, especially from a small school, where you are identified by particular niches or hobbies.  You have to rebuild all that here! This March I got news that I got a student leadership position as a trip leader for GCU outdoor recreation!  I get to lead backpacking, hiking and all kinds of outdoor trips this upcoming fall/spring.  I have changed my major from nursing to exercise science, because I realized how much I loved sports medicine at Sedona Red Rock High School.  Hannah’s transcripts show a 3.95 Grade Point!!

Sophia Zimmerman 2021 SAVCO Scholarship

Sophia is a Rising Junior at Arizona State University.  She is in the Pre-med course at ASU.  She has a desire to go into medicine, maybe the military after graduation.  Her transcripts carry classes such as Organic Chemistry and Biology of Microorganisms.  Her transcripts show a 3.84 after 2 years at ASU.

Chloe Coulter 2020 SAVCO Scholarship

Chloe is a rising Senior at Arizona State University.  She spent the last semester studying in Holland at the University of Groningen.     She is also on a Pre-med track and her Sophomore transcripts contain classes similar to Sophia’s.
