Jack Ross, President

Jack Ross, a Sedona resident since 2015, brings decades of leadership and service experience to SAVCO. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in accounting, Jack served 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a carrier pilot, retiring as a Commander. He later completed a 29-year career with Delta Air Lines, retiring as a 767ER International Captain. Jack has also served the Sedona community as a Community Service Aide with the Sedona Police Department and continues to support local nonprofits as Treasurer of the Emerson Theater Collaborative and the Arts Academy of Sedona.

John Martinez, Vice President

John Martinez and his wife Carol have called Sedona home since 2005. Originally from Southern California, John comes from a large family where the value of education and hard work was emphasized—leading all eight siblings to earn college degrees. John graduated from California State University, Long Beach, in 1975. His professional career spans private industry, rising from janitor to Director of Manufacturing Accounting for ConAgra Grocery Group. In Sedona, John served on the Budget Oversight Commission and later on the City Council from 2012 to 2020, including six years as Vice Mayor. He remains actively involved with local nonprofits, including the Sedona Symphony, Sedona Public Library, SAVCO, and the Coalition Against Human Trafficking.

Helen Jarnes, Secretary

Helen Jarnes has lived in Sedona for 22 years. Originally from San Jose and San Diego, she is a retired Construction Project Manager and Facilities Engineer from Qualcomm, with certifications from UCSD. A U.S. Army veteran, she served in Germany as a helicopter mechanic and crew chief. Helen has been a real estate investor and landlord for 35+ years, operating HTC Properties, Inc. from home. She is Secretary and past President of her HOA and The Sedona Women, a member of 100 Women Who Care, and a former Sedona Library board member. She and her husband Rune, a corporate pilot, have two children and five grandchildren. They enjoy flying, fishing, traveling, and rode matching Harleys across Northern Arizona.

Al Coxe, Treasurer

A native of Colorado, Al Coxe moved to Sedona with his wife Rosie in 2018. They have two adult daughters. Al served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force in the Missile and Space career fields before continuing his career modernizing tracking and data systems at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg AFB. An avid outdoorsman, Al completed four marathons, multiple triathlons, and over 90 mountaineering ascents—including reaching the summit of Mt. Aconcagua. Since moving to Sedona, he has been active in the Sedona Marine Corps League and SAVCO, finding great fulfillment in projects that support veterans.

Don Hallford, Director

Raised in Northwest Florida, Don Hallford enlisted in the U.S. Air Force shortly after high school. After completing his degree, he earned his commission and served an additional 22 years as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer with assignments in Florida, Texas, Washington, Utah, and England. Throughout his military career, Don developed a strong commitment to community service, starting by volunteering to prepare tax returns. After retiring and relocating to Sedona, he expanded his involvement with various local organizations, continuing to give back to the community he calls home.

Gigi Rock, Golf Director

Gigi Rock brings decades of experience in golf tournament and event management to her role as Golf Director for the SAVCO Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Throughout her career, she has worked with PGA, Senior PGA and LPGA Tour players, celebrities, and major corporate sponsors, producing high-profile tournaments across the U.S. and Canada. Gigi is passionate about supporting veterans and youth, and her leadership ensures the tournament is a meaningful and successful fundraising event each year. Her dedication to service and community shines through everything she does for SAVCO.
