Audit Committee Member

Help Ensure Transparency and Trust at SAVCO

SAVCO (Sedona Area Veterans Community Outreach) is seeking volunteers to serve on our Audit Committee, a vital part of our commitment to financial integrity, transparency, and good governance.

As a member of the Audit Committee, you will help review and oversee SAVCO’s financial records, ensuring that our organization operates in alignment with nonprofit best practices and meets all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Review SAVCO’s financial statements, reports, and practices

• Ensure that internal controls and accounting procedures are followed

• Provide oversight for annual financial reviews or audits

• Work closely with the Treasurer and Board to identify areas of improvement

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

Ideal Qualifications:

• Experience in accounting, finance, or business management (preferred but not required)

• Strong attention to detail and integrity

• Willingness to attend periodic meetings and review financial materials

• A commitment to supporting SAVCO’s mission and values
